Privacy Policy

Airclippy is a free online clipboard and sharing service. You can paste text, upload files, generate PDFs and QR codes, shorten URLs, and store private AI chat context. Most features work without an account. Optional sign-in unlocks larger file uploads and AI Context Vault.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication data. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, and email as provided by Google.
• Shared content. Text, notes, and files you upload to Share Text or Share Files are stored so recipients can retrieve them. You control what you paste or upload.
• AI Context Vault. If you use AI Context, we store the conversation threads, API keys, and share tokens you create, tied to your signed-in account.
• Network information. Local-network sharing uses your IP address to scope content to devices on the same connection. We may also receive standard request data such as browser type, device type, and timestamps.
• Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, and device categories). This is designed to be privacy-friendly and does not use advertising cookies to track you across sites.

Text to PDF, Text to QR, and URL Shortener process data locally in your browser. Your source text and URLs are not uploaded to our servers for those tools unless you separately share them through the clipboard or file-share features.

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve Airclippy, including real-time sharing and file delivery
• Create and manage accounts, API keys, and AI Context share tokens
• Apply file-size limits (5 MB for guests, 100 MB when signed in)
• Expire and delete temporary shares automatically
• Monitor abuse, security incidents, and service reliability
• Understand which pages are used so we can improve the product

We do not sell your personal information or shared content.

Content you share is available to anyone who can open the relevant share link or global feed, unless you use local-network mode or optional encryption. Treat shared text and files as public unless you have taken extra steps to restrict them. Do not share passwords, financial details, medical information, or other secrets you are not willing to expose.

AI Context Vault data is private by default. It is accessible only to you (via your account or API key) and to agents you authorize with a scoped share token.

• Clipboard and file shares expire automatically about 1 hour after last access and are then deleted.
• AI Context is stored according to the TTL you set (default 7 days, maximum 30 days) or until you delete it.
• Account data is kept while your account is active. You may request deletion as described below.
• Analytics is stored in aggregate form by our analytics provider for a limited period needed to operate the service.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in (Firebase Authentication) and to remember basic app state. Vercel Analytics may collect anonymized usage metrics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We rely on trusted processors to run Airclippy:

• Google Firebase for authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage.
• Google Sign-In if you choose to log in with Google. Google’s use of data is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
• Vercel for hosting, delivery, and analytics.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We do not control their independent services.

We use HTTPS, access controls, and automatic expiry to reduce risk. Optional end-to-end encryption is available for sensitive text shares so content can be encrypted on your device before it is stored. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for the sensitivity of what you choose to share.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. You can:

• Delete individual shares or AI contexts from the product when those controls are available
• Sign out or stop using the service at any time
• Request account or data deletion by emailing hello@airclippy.com

If you use Google Sign-In, you can also manage connected apps from your Google account settings.

Airclippy is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Airclippy is hosted on infrastructure that may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the service from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be transferred to and stored in those locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Airclippy after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
